Hundreds of Orthodox Christians, including those at the Ukrainian Orthodox Holy Ascension Church in Clifton, celebrated Christmas Tuesday.

While many Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ on December 25, Orthodox Christians, who go by Gregorian calendar (as opposed to the Julian calendar) celebrate on January 6 or 7.

Father Oleh Zhownirovych said a special prayer at the end of the service to support those protesting at the Euromaidan in Ukraine.
