On September 22, 2019 our annual Ukrainian Festival took place.
This year there were many guests including representatives of Ukrainian and American businesses visiting us. There were also guests who visited our festival for the first time.
Our national-styled entertainment program was very replete thanks to the performances of several dance groups. The holiday was adorned by singing of young talented singers Angelina Vepryk and Christina Goldfeld. Special thanks to our positive program’s hosts: Liliana Khudoliy and Bogdan Tabaka. Music for the festival was performed by our local band “Zorepad”, which gave positive emotions and good mood to everyone by performing Ukrainian songs at the end of the holiday.
For the youngest children visiting us, there was an entertainment and educational program organized by “Indigo Kids Montessori School”. The person who gave a lot of wonderful emotions to children and decorated all small volunteers with Face Painting was Chrystyna Posiko – a teacher of art at our Sunday school.
Our holiday couldn’t help being without gifts. Everyone who wanted could buy a lottery ticket and get a chance to win a prize from our parish and other sponsors of the festival. “Meest Express” pleased our guests with wonderful prizes. Talented hand-made artists Masha Nestoryak and Iryna Erdogan presented their handmade products as gifts to lottery winners. Some business representatives also had gifts and prizes for the visitors of our festival.
And the most important thing without which no Ukrainian holiday is possible – it’s delicious Ukrainian cuisine. Under the guidance of Iryna Sukha, our hospitable and hard-working women have cooked many dishes.
Thanks to Mykola Kulyk, there was a special “star” dish on our holiday – a roasted on a spit over an open fire boar. A lot of visitors liked he taste of this “star boar”, that’s why the meat was over in a short time.
We are sincerely thankful to God for this successful festival, for each participant and helper.
